Haole Woodworks is the culmination of a lifelong passion for craftsmanship, sustainability, and the beauty of reclaimed wood. Owned and operated by Jeremiah Orgaz, a third-generation Miami native and fine woodworker, our journey begins with a rich legacy of woodworking expertise passed down from his father.
With over 30 years of experience as a fine woodworker, Jeremiah's father instilled in him a deep appreciation for the artistry and precision of woodworking. From an early age, Jeremiah immersed himself in the world of woodworking, learning invaluable skills and techniques alongside his father. But his journey didn't stop there.
Driven by a love for creating and a desire to explore different mediums, Jeremiah expanded his craft beyond wood, experimenting with leather, iron, and glass. However, it was the rhythmic dance of wood turning that truly captured his heart.
Originally starting as a therapeutic hobby to escape the stresses of his job as a firefighter, wood turning quickly evolved into a lifelong passion for Jeremiah. What began as a form of relaxation soon blossomed into a full-fledged dedication to crafting exquisite pieces of functional art.
Today, Haole Woodworks stands as a testament to Jeremiah's unwavering commitment to sustainability and craftsmanship. Nestled in his home woodshop in Miami, Jeremiah meticulously crafts each piece using sustainably sourced reclaimed wood.

Our Process
At Haole Woodworks, our process is rooted in sustainability, craftsmanship, and a deep respect for nature. Central to our approach is our relationship with local tree cutting and lawn companies, who entrust us with the trees that would otherwise meet their end in the city dump.
Instead of allowing these trees to contribute to more waste, we see them as opportunities for transformation. Jeremiah, founder and master craftsman, takes great pride in salvaging this reclaimed wood and giving it new life as beautiful, handcrafted pieces.
In addition to the wood sourced from local companies, our collection also includes wood from trees felled by the numerous hurricanes that have swept through Miami. These fallen trees, once symbols of destruction, become symbols of resilience and renewal in Jeremiah's skilled hands.
From the moment the wood enters our workshop to the final strokes of finishing, Jeremiah's process is guided by a deep appreciation for the unique characteristics of each piece of wood.
